Annual Pops by the Sea T-Shirt Design Competition

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC) is pleased to announce the  Annual Pops by the Sea T-Shirt Design Competition. This competition is open to every 5th through 12th grade student living on Cape Cod, including those in public, parochial, private, charter, technical, and home schools. The winner’s original art will be featured on the official Pop’s T-shirt for the 32nd Citizens Bank Pops by the Sea concert on August 13, 2017. This event, presented by the AFCC , draws thousands of people to the Hyannis Village Green for the only Cape Cod appearance of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra.

The artist with the winning design will receive a $250 cash scholarship with a matching award going to their school’s art department.  He or she  will be featured in the Pops by the Sea program  and will receive two VIP seats at the Pops Artist’s table.  Second and third place winners will also receive cash awards and  be featured in the program.

 

Designs must integrate the text “Pops by the Sea 2017,” and  should reflect the theme of music and the sea.

The official Pops T-shirt will be sold to the general public the day of the concert.

The closing date for the competition is March 31, 2017. An exhibition of the finalists’ work and a reception honoring the winners will be held on May 11, 2017 at the Cahoon Museum in Cotuit.  We thank you for your support of the arts and of the Pops by the Sea  T-Shirt Design Competition.
