Focused on lost income, the Cape Cod Arts Relief Fund will provide one-time relief in the form of grants up to $500 to artists who live, work, create, and/or perform on Cape Cod.
Funds not utilized in the first phase will go towards the second phase of this effort, which will focus on cultural nonprofits and ways the AFCC can support them once the pandemic is over. To donate to the Cape Cod Arts Relief Fund, click here.
Grants will be provided as long as funds are available.
We will support artists in two ways:
- The fund will provide up to $500 per applicant to support full- or part-time professional artists who have lost income used to sustain their creative practice due to the COVID-19 crisis.
- We will invest in the Cape-wide visibility of all artists who receive funding by featuring their websites and their work on Arts Cape Cod and the AFCC’s website and social media platforms.
Cape Cod Artist Relief Fund does not support:
- Reimbursement for expenses already incurred
- Anticipated losses unrelated to the COVID-19 crisis
Applications for the Cape Cod Arts Relief Fund are now being accepted. Funding will be distributed beginning mid-April through the end of May or until funding runs out. Applications will be reviewed weekly. You will be notified as to the status of your application within 10 business days. The review panel is made up of members of the community and the AFCC Board of Directors.
We welcome applications from all individual artists, musicians, actors, writers, or other creative professionals living in Barnstable County/Cape Cod.
Other ways we are supporting our arts and culture community during this time:
If you have creatively responded to the crisis by modifying your artwork, educational offerings, or event through virtual outlets, we respect your effort to support public health. We want to help you connect with our community by spreading the word through www.ArtsCapeCod.org which has been updated for posting virtual events.
