October 20, 2025 (Cape Cod, MA) — The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is expanding its support for the region’s creative community with the launch of a new Fiscal Sponsorship Program in January 2026.
The program is designed to help artists and creative groups raise funds for public benefit projects that connect, engage, and inspire communities through the arts. Fiscal sponsorship allows individual artists and unincorporated collectives to access some of the same funding opportunities as nonprofit organizations, including grants restricted to 501(c)(3) entities and tax-deductible donations from individual supporters.
“Fiscal sponsorship opens the door for artists to bring their ideas to life while receiving the administrative and financial support they need,” said Julie Wake, Executive Director of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. “This program empowers creativity and community impact by helping artists focus on what they do best: creating.”
Through the Arts Foundation’s Fiscal Sponsorship Program, participants will gain access to:
- Expanded fundraising opportunities through AFCC’s 501(c)(3) status;
- An online project fundraising link on the Arts Foundation’s website;
- Regular conversations focused on fundraising, project management, and sustainability;
- Guidance from Arts Foundation staff on grant applications, donor outreach, and best practices.
Applications for the inaugural cycle open January 1, 2026, and close January 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. Artists and collectives working on public benefit projects are encouraged to apply.
A virtual information session will be held on Friday, November 7th at 10 AM to help prospective applicants learn more about eligibility, the application process, and how fiscal sponsorship can support their creative goals.
