December 20, 2018 (Hyannis, MA) – Centerville’s Amy Tuttle has joined the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC), bringing an extensive history of fundraising to her new role as director of development.
In that capacity, Tuttle will be responsible for stewarding new and existing donors to strengthen a 30-year-old nonprofit that supports, promotes, and advocates for artistic and cultural opportunities on Cape Cod through a range of programs that include grant-giving; scholarships; fellowships; and events such as the Creative Exchange, its one-day arts conference held annually each fall.
“Amy has a wealth of development experience and a real enthusiasm for the arts, and we’re excited to add her talents to our team,” said AFCC Executive Director Julie Wake. “She also has a natural ability to connect with people, which is essential to the work we do with our local artists and cultural organizations.”
Tuttle expressed a similar excitement in starting her new position at the AFCC. “The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod does an incredible job bringing people, art, and ideas together in our community,” she said. “I look forward to working with my new colleagues, our board, our supporters, and our donors to advance the mission of this dynamic and engaging organization.”
Prior to coming to the AFCC, Tuttle served as the events coordinator and development manager for the YMCA of the North Shore in Beverly. She also owned and operated THRIVE, a Manchester-based development agency for artists and small businesses. Tuttle spent seven years as a committee member and chair of the Spaulding Education Fund, overseeing fundraising campaigns, events, and grant programs that distributed over $100,000 annually to support curriculum initiatives in the Manchester Essex School District.
Tuttle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Northeastern University. She and her husband Brian, Vice President at Santander Investment Services, have two children, Camden, a senior at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina, and Clara, a freshman at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
