Arts Foundation of Cape Cod Welcomes Chris Kazarian as New Director of Grants and Communications
May 31, 2022 (Cape Cod, MA) – The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC) is excited to announce that it has tapped Chris Kazarian of East Falmouth, as its new director of grants and communications.
“The Arts Foundation has done such incredible work to support the region’s artists and cultural organizations, especially during the pandemic when the creative sector was severely impacted by shutdowns and Covid restrictions,” Kazarian said. “I’m looking forward to identifying the resources needed for the AFCC to continue its efforts to assist the arts as it navigates these challenging times. And I’m eager to highlighting the stories which demonstrate the AFCC’s impact as well as the staff, board, donors, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who make its work possible.”
“We have gotten to a point where it became clear that the Arts Foundation would require an experienced communications person who could help elevate the arts sector and is knowledgeable about grants —someone with an open mind and a passion for the arts. I have known Chris professionally for several years now, we have worked on many projects together. It just had to be him!” said Julie Wake, Executive Director of the AFCC.
In this role, Kazarian will be responsible for raising awareness to the AFCC’s programs and identifying, securing, and managing grant opportunities that support its mission.
Kazarian comes to the Arts Foundation after serving as the marketing manager for Housing Assistance Corporation. Prior to that, he was the senior reporter at the Falmouth Enterprise. His writing has appeared in The Hockey News, espnW, Hemispheres Inflight Magazine, Global Seafood Alliance Advocate Magazine, Boston Herald, Providence Journal, Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Cape Cod Travel Guide, and Falmouth Living.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a masters from Emerson College.
