Bid on VIP Tickets to Stephen Colbert Taping, Trip to Tuscany, Stunning Artwork by Cape Codders and More!

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod’s Silent Auction and Live Auction offers an opportunity for you to purchase one-of-a-kind artwork made by some of the top Cape artists as well as unique experiences that include VIP tickets to a taping of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, two tickets to to see the New York City Ballet perform this season along with a backstage tour and signed pointe shoes, and a commissioned portrait by the Arts Foundation’s 2022 Artist of the Year Jo Hay.

The Silent Auction is currently open and features over 50 unique items, including more than 40 pieces of artwork by Cape creatives, including Carl Lopes, MiYoung Sohn, Amuri Morris, Christine Niles, Rachel Paolino, Georgene Riedl, Denise Zompa, Chris Kelly, Marieluise Hutchinson, Justin LaRocca Hansen, and Ann Giuliani.

Music fans can bid on a pair of VIP tickets to see the preeminent Grateful Dead Cover band, Dark Star Orchestra, which includes backstage passes as well as a pre-show soundcheck. You can also bid on two VIP tickets to Buffalo Tom’s inaugural Please Come to Boston Festival, November 1-3, in Somerville; this item includes a merch bag as well as a chance to meet the band.

There’s also a round of golf for four to the Hyannisport Club, 2 Cape Air tickets to fly anywhere in the Northeast, and a $50 gift card to the Red Inn in Provincetown.

The Silent Auction will conclude on Thursday, June 6 at 8:30 pm.

The Arts Foundation’s Live Auction will start on Thursday, June 6 at 6:30 pm during the nonprofit’s Arts Gala. Bidders don’t have to be present to participate in the auction. It features seven items, including a stunning photograph, Wild Oyster Harvester, Wellfleet, by the Arts Foundation’s 2024 Artist of the Year Julia Cumes.

The Arts Foundation’s 2023 Artist of the Year Mark Adams also has a piece, Swim for Life Trio, that will be up for auction.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Arts Foundation’s mission to support and strengthen a vibrant and diverse arts and cultural sector for everyone in the region. The Arts Foundation fulfills its mission through annual grant giving to arts organizations and artists; through its Creative Exchange program which provides professional development for individuals working in the arts sector; through its Arts Access program which connects all children, regardless of income, to the power and beauty of the arts; and by advocating at the local, state, and federal levels for the importance of the arts to the Cape.

The two auctions coincide with the Arts Foundation’s Arts Gala which serves as its largest fundraiser of the year. Individuals wishing to support the Arts Foundation’s work can do so by making a tax-deductible donation here.
