Hyannis, MA July 14, 2016- Today, the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod released the pre-show lineup for the 31st Annual Citizens Bank Pops by the Sea to be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 on the Hyannis Village Green starting at 1:00 PM.
Opening acts will include a variety of local Cape Cod multicultural artists, with Brazilian band Cla Da Bossa Nova performing a mix of modern bossa nova and samba music; Cape Cod African Dance and Drum, a group notorious for sharing the contagious energy of West African music, dance, and culture; steel drummer Michael Gabriel, whose roots in reggae and calypso can be traced back to his origins in Trinidad; and Arts Foundation 2016 Fellow and mandolin player Alex Brecelis, a founding member of local pop/folk group Tripping Lilly; DJ Sinnetti,whose local and international work has earned him a noteworthy reputation, will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
“Our goal for the pre-show event is to celebrate the diversity in the arts and community that make up Cape Cod. We were very thoughtful about the lineup, and we envision this to be a very celebratory afternoon. We hope folks will spend the day with us!” said Julie Wake, Executive Director of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod.

Proceeds from the August 14th Citizens Bank Pops by the Sea enable the Arts Foundation to fulfill its mission to support, promote, and celebrate the arts and culture of Cape Cod . The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, Barnstable County’s regional arts agency, provides artistic, cultural, and educational programs in every town on Cape Cod, with an emphasis on supporting arts education initiatives, individual artists, and cultural organizations throughout the year.
